Social Enterprise Africa CIC believes strongly in the concepts of permaculture and we have been training the young people in the basics this year ahead of taking some specific activities next year, which will see our melon crops form part of a local ecosystem.  Melons are very dependent upon pollination for their success, so we will be encouraging the placement of bee colonies.  Our small plantings are ideally suited to this activity and others, where we can maintain and even enhance the quality of the land by planting complementary crops.
